About Me

I am grateful to work in two worlds I adore: human-computer interaction (HCI) research and movement arts.

For over a decade, I’ve shaped product and business strategy for companies like Google and YouTube. In 2021, I began freelancing so my career could also encompass the arts. I love blending my analytical skills and storytelling chops to craft narratives for film, stage, and tech/product teams alike.

A central goal of my work is to let people know they are seen and understood—a powerful form of healing. In my dance-work, I gravitate to universal themes, and love to explore them within fantastical, genre-specific frameworks like horror and surrealism. For me, creation is a means of introspection and connection, seeking answers that help me understand my life and the shared human experience.

Backstory

In high school, I wanted to avoid gym—climbing ropes specifically—so I enrolled in dance, an evasive maneuver that turned out to be life-changing. There, I gravitated to contemporary movement, created 10+ pieces for the company to perform, and was nominated to choreograph for the Fort Mason Vision Series Festival.

However, for the next decade, dance became sporadic as I obtained my B.S. (Textiles) and M.S. (Human Factored Design), and built a career in global research. I danced here and there, completing Broadway Dance Center’s ISVP summer program, adult classes at Academy of Ballet SF, and learned local dance styles, such as garba and konto, during my fieldwork across Brazil, India, Indonesia, Mexico, and Nigeria.

In 2021, I committed to dance, a lifelong love on the back burner. I left full-time work and dove into training, completing intensives with ArtÉmotionUSA, the Martha Graham School, The Galen Hooks Method, Runqiao Du Ballet Coaching, and Janice Garrett + Charles Moulton, among others.
